CPR Water Training
A CPR training video. Thanks to Johnny for this one. Watch/Download: Click Here!
Stupid TV people, covering the action with that big-a** chyron on the bottom of the screen. It doesn't have to be there the whole time, they can take it off momentarily when they know it's covering an essential part of the picture. Or, the cameraperson and field producer, knowing the broadcast crew would stick that big-a** chyron, could lower the frame to allow unimportant space that can be covered up. Such incompetence.
You would have thought they would have realised during the broadcast that their banner was covering the main reason for the story. It's not difficult to remove the banner for a minute while the video is showing and then put it back once they move to the presenters again.
Yeah, I worked as a TV producer once, it's not hard. Just get the chyron off for a few seconds and then have it on again. Especially if you notice an important part of the picture is blocked out of view. Anyway, it's also not the convention to have the chyron on throughout the piece, usually just for the first few seconds.
This one's good. Only, why is she shaking him so hard? And she didn't need to bare his chest completely if there was no use of AED. Anyway, happy to see a demo still using a person instead of a manikin. Thank you, -John.

DeleteMaybe as it's a demo it's easier for her to show us what to do if his chest is bare.
