The Resident - S03E01
The Resident - S03E01
8 year old Jonah sneaks down into the hospital's basement where he becomes trapped. Watch/Download: Click Here!
No jump cut here, but rather, a gap in the storytelling. I'm sure you've edited in the essential parts of the storyline, Hospy, so it's the showmakers' fault there's a big missing piece in the story. I'm sure if that female technician wasn't down there, the show's focus will be 100% on the rescue and the treatment of the boy. I imagine that the scene of the breaking down of the door, the child being rushed to the ER, shirt-cutting and preliminary examination were all filmed but later cut out due to the allowed length of the episode and to prioritize the big explosion scene. Maybe it will be on "deleted scenes" on the DVD? Wishful thinking here.
Pretty sure that wasn't my editing :P I hope... If the technician hadn't been down there then there's no reason we wouldn't have followed the boy until he opened the door so someone else looking for him did. Interesting thought that those scenes exist somewhere though. Why is the shirt cutting always seen as something they can skip over to get the episode down to the right length.
Agreed; there was so much more potential material they could have shown, and honestly I was left more confused by the whole plot. I get the kid wandering off to the basement, but for it to then mysteriously fill with natural gas? Maybe I missed something but I didn't see him mess with anything that would have caused that, so now there's just a mysterious gas explosion, which in real life you better believe they would have evacuated not just the entire building but probably the entire block; yet in the show they seem to carry on like normal? So confused lol
I have to guess the lady down there or one of her colleagues must have done something without realising. Nothing to do with Jonah going down there but a massive distraction from him and his story. Maybe the cause was explored in a future episode. Very right about the lack of evacuation. "Nothing to worry about folks but the hospital underneath you is on fire! Just carry on as normal".
Yeah and if Jonah was in that room that exploded, he should've been burned to death or at the very least sustained 90%, third-degree burn. But when Conrad first lifted him, he looked normal and his clothes intact and unburned. On the exam table, his body just has insignificant smoke marks... More confusion :(
Hey, Hospy, I just realized, my downloads from your posts of ER, The Resident, Ambulance Code Red all have no sound. When I play them on the blog, they all have sound, but the downloads are all soundless. Meanwhile, the posts from Die Spezialisten, Klinikum Berlin, the Chinese Drama and the YouTube videos are all normal. Do you know why?
Hmm not sure what could be causing that. I've tried downloading from the drive and it all seems fine. The file should be exactly the same as the one it streams.
I like this, Anonymous. Especially the first story. Although I don't like the camera work, the editing (jump cuts that I hate), the defibrillation scene is great. Even if it's not real. Thanks for sharing.
I hope Hospy posts this so we can talk about it more.
