Yes, wrong placement of paddles. Also, too much dramatic pause at the end. I don't imagine real emergency doctors have that much time to mourn a patient, they have to move on to the next one.
I’m a pediatric emergency room nurse. People don’t jump off the bed like that when they are defibrillated. Their bodies jerk, or twitch (whatever you want to call it.) Sometimes a child barely moves at all, because of the low energy (amount of joules) used to shock. And yes, we often do have a little time to mourn a patient. We aren’t always so busy that we have to quickly move on. I always try to sit with (a) parent(s) who just lost their child and comfort them the best that I can. I have even carried children in my arms who are small enough, wrapped in a blanket, to the morgue myself. I have lots of compassion. Medical staff are not cold, heartless robots. We are human.
Amazing defib! They even used conductive gel on her
ReplyDeleteThe paddles were not in the correct place on her chest though.
DeleteYeah I guess but at least they used a close up angle, with her bare chested. Also she did really really good defibs. 90s casualty shows ftw

DeleteI should have first said that I’m the person who made the “paddles in the wrong place” comment.
DeleteLooks like she didn't make it... off to the morgue with her. Wish they showed that scene!
ReplyDeleteIs there a longer hd version? Thanks
