Hi Hospital Scenes. May I call you Hospy for short? (Unless you want to be called another way). Great site. Thanks. I enjoy mostly clips showing defibrillation or AED on kids. Like this clip you have here. I particularly like the sequence on the boy who looks like he collapsed in a library or something (the one you freezed the frame from). What I don't really like is the missing continuity, as in, you see the boy with his shirt intact at the beginning, and then you see him again later, his shirt is already in tatters. I know you didn't edit it out because I saw this training video on youtube, and the part where the shirt is being cut off is nowhere to be found. It's like a jump cut and it's annoying for me because the scene feels incomplete. A lot of the medical shows you clip here are also great and at the same time annoying for that reason.
Anyway, I want to contribute to your site. Below is a youtube link to an Indonesian soap opera showing an 11 year-old boy being operated on and then defibrillated. It's annoyingly inaccurate and the camera angles are not great, either, but I hope you will still find it useful for your site. The scene starts at 3:05 and ends at 4:19.
You are welcome to call me Hospy. I completely agree with you. I wish things were edited better to show the whole thing. I suppose a lot of people feel that its not important to see that though I would expect it to be in a training video like this one.
Thanks for the links :) Please do post any others that you know of and any that you find that don't use jump cuts.
Hi JCH, The blog is mostly stuff from TV programmes or stuff that youtube has blocked. Most of the youtube stuff is clips and things other people have filmed. If I'm not sure if youtube will reject it then I will post it on the blog.
Hi Hospy, it's me Jump Cut Hater again. Here's another clip from the same soap opera above, but different boy, a 12 year-old. Also a defibrillation scene that is ridiculously fake. Hope you enjoy. https://youtu.be/9IUcvyCarEs Between 3:15 and 4:32
I have heard of Every 15 Minutes but had forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder :) I think when I last looked at it though I didn't find much interesting stuff. If you know of any good episodes from it though please do let me know :) Haven't heard of the Shattered Dreams program. Where can I find it and again any good episodes you can point me towards?
Actually, I saved about 350 episodes between Every 15 Minutes and Shattered Dreams that I consider interesting haha. Shattered Dreams is a program practically identical to Every 15 Minutes, same contents. Therefore, these two programs deserve a separate blog, in my opinion. For now, I put the links of two episodes, one of Every 15 Minutes, the other of Shattered Dreams

I think the boys shirt in the picture has been ripped open rather than cut open
DeleteHi Hospy, you have a youtube channel too. How do you decide what goes on the channel and what goes on the blog, because each has different content?
